I began to paint seriously in 1974, and happily found
that watercolour was my ideal medium as it enabled me to paint extensively
within the context of a busy doctor's life . It has given me immense
satisfaction over the years, allowing me to develop my particular technique and
own unique form of expression. For me the magic has always lain in the final
moments of drying, when the colours glisten and shine, rather like a newly
washed Persian carpet as it dries in the sun.
The paintings in the galleries
above span three decades, and I
have chosen samples that can be loosely categorised to make easier viewing,
hopefully providing a good cross-section of my work. All the paintings here
range from approx 8"x10" upwards, on maximum A3 size paper. For more
specific details feel free to contact me as
convenient. To browse
the paintings, please click on the links to the galleries above.
